Talent Lab

Talent Lab may be viewed as a spin-off from HR Lab.

Talent Lab targets Talent Managers and works around talent-related topics such as recruitment, performance management, leadership development, succession management and more recently aspects of sustainable work/wellbeing.

Talent Lab is open only to the Talent Managers of HR Lab member organisations and the same rules regarding confidentiality and professional conduct apply. The reason for this restriction is that Talent Lab is funded by the membership fees of HR Lab.

Our aim is to put together a group of 6 to 10 companies from as many economic sectors as possible. There is a certain degree of turnover each year due to job changes so new members are always welcome.

Talent Lab has set itself two objectives:

  1. To exchange experiences and company practices usually around an annual theme such as sustainable work, leadership potential and development, recent developments in performance management and integrated talent software systems.
  2. To organise an annual networking event for high potentials from the member companies. Four to six top talents from each company spend a long afternoon together learning about and debating on a ‘hot’ topic of common interest.
A reputed key note speaker sets the scene followed by cross-company discussion groups so that different perspectives are shared and so that everyone can meet peers from other sectors.  Recent topics have included ‘Ethics of technology’, ‘Productivity drivers in Belgium’ and ‘When digital becomes human’.
